Position Description The Director of Pastoral Ministries is responsible for oversight and leadership of pastoral ministries.The Director guides and assists ministries in achieving their goals to help advance the five-to-ten year vision for St. Agnes Parish.The Director also serves as the connecting link among all parish groups.
Accountability and Relationships
Accountable to the Pastor
Participates as a contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team
Collaborates with Parish Council, Communications Council and the Alpha Team
Responsibilities and Percentages of Time for Each 1. Evangelization: 50%
Collaborates with the director of Alpha, Connect Groups, and Life Groups
Coordinates Youth Alpha
Facilitates leadership development and learning opportunities in the Alpha program
Facilitates learning opportunities for Alpha volunteers
Develops systems to measure growth and effectiveness of evangelization initiatives
2. Sacramental Preparation: 10%
Assists ministries responsible for sacraments and related celebrations. These include Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage Preparation
Encourages alignment with the parish Vision
3. Ministry Coordination:20%
Maintains high levels of engagement with ministry leaders, encouraging collaboration among ministries for optimum effectiveness and efficiency
Facilitates learning opportunities and succession planning
4. Assistance to the Pastor as Required:20%
Strategic Thinking:Understands and processes complex information and exercises sound judgement, considering the situation, the issues, the key players, and levels of authority involved.Proposes courses of action that furthers the objectives, priorities and vision of St. Agnes Parish

Conditions of Employment
Varied day to day employment hours, with an average weekly expectation of 35 hours.
A valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle.
The successful candidate must consent to Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
St. Agnes Parish workplace is governed by the Province of Ontario Employment Standards Act.
Compensation Salary and benefits package are based on qualifications, competencies and experience.
